A quick tip on how to easily find bacterium on the surface of a planet. It can be very hard to spot from your SRV cockpit!

Man, I've gotta tell ya'...this is the simplest way I've seen so far to find the biologicals like bacterium. I just started with Odyssey after over 1000+ hours of Horizons and this so easy. I never really got used to the camera controls, but I was forced to by this simple, but outstanding solution. Thanks so much!

A bit slow and complicated. It's easier to take an angile ship such as Diamondback Explorer, and fly 50-60m above the surface (with a 20-45 degree angle) using Your manoeuvering thrusters (the same ones used for landing) ;)

Good video thumbs up and subbed. Im a returning player to Elite Dangerous and never progressed too far before, but going to give it another shot. Funny thing I just spent time finding 3 bacterium samples, turned it in, and it was only 1 million something. When I get 3 samples of the other plants, its 19 million and they are easier to find. Whats the point of gathering bacterium if it pays so much less? Thanks for any help.

It’s such a shame about FD and the SRV. Yeah, we used one on the moon in the 1960s because of all the technical limitations we had at the time. Now, with fusion reactors, FTL etc you think the game designers would use a flying vehicle to cover more terrain quickly? Nope. Fucking moon buggy from the 60s.
