DayZ ~ Quick Controls and Basic Mechanics for Beginners Tutorial

This video will explain every control and basic concept in dayz. STILL GOOD AS OF 2024! The only significant control differences in the current version is with vehicles where pressing shift is a global modifier for acceleration AND breaking instead of just being a turbo button, not like you are gonna be able to find a working car anyway :)

after watching this video you will be able to play the game without trying to figure out what does what. This video does NOT cover every crafting recipe, what to do when you get sick, where to find the best guns, how to build a base, how to raid a base, every possible status effect, what house loot spawns in, etc etc etc ...
I made this because I tried finding a video like this to send my friends who have never played the game before and every single 'starting out' / 'beginner' tutorial was about all of the above and never once explained that you can like hold middle mouse to zoom or other BASIC controls like pressing F to do weapon melee. After you watch this go watch other videos that explain every detail about the game, OR just play the game and figure it out naturally now that you can actually function in the game world.

BONUS TIP: I recently reinstalled windows and for whatever reason, dayz now refuses to set my brightness UNLESS I go in my settings, move the slider, alt tab, come back, and move the slider again and then it will work for the rest of that session. Remember you can't adjust brightness in windowed mode!

My man i cant believe how unusefull its the spanish community, i've been searching for a video of the basic controls of dayZ as i just installed it and i couldn't find any in spanish. Luckly i know english so i could search by that language and your video its literally what everyone needs to know.
