What a shame the film wasn't actually shot in the Marlborough Sounds. There were plenty of locals here who would have jumped at the opportunity to be part of this production.

I am trying to watch The Sounds on CBC. I say trying because some of the characters are hard to understand because they do not enunciate their words. I realize this is supposed to be filmed in Australia or New Zealand but the police officer and the man helping her husband, are hard to understand.

VERDICT: It had scenery and crisp cinematography, and eclectic cast of good actors, with a mysterious with each episode, more and more weaknesses of this show were evident. It got more and more ridiculous, until episode 6 perhaps when things got so stupid, that i just had to declare, "I AM DONE!!!!"

Such an amazing TV show, the only problem is the people in New Zealand have a horrible accent, really difficult to understand.

The guy who played her husband was not. A good actor, she did all she could to keep the movie going! He’s boring.
