Air Tindi is the world's largest operator of the magnificent De Havilland Dash 7, probably THE most impressive STOL (short takeoff and landing) passenger aircraft in the world. Operating five units out of its Yellowknife base in northern Canada, Air Tindi serves remote communities and mines with short gravel airstrips and little to no airport infrastructure. Come along a breathtaking ride with Captain Mike and F/O Josh together with Patrick. Enjoy three stunning flights around the Arctic with BIG TIME STOL performance demonstrations and fantastic views!

As avgeeks do, our focus is both on classic aircraft and the latest fancy airplane types. We are proud of our wide range of Soviet aircraft in our cockpit film portfolio, to include Antonov 2, 12, 22, 26, 124 & 225 and Ilyushin 76 with more types added frequently. Of course all modern aircraft from Boeing and Airbus are part of our program including A220, A310, A319, A320, A321, A330, A350, A380, B707, B727, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787 with most of their sub-variants. Films about other aircraft include Fokker F100, Falcon 7X, Britten-Norman Islander and Trislander, DeHavilland Dash 6 Twin Otter and Dash 8-100 and Q400, ATR 72, Cessna Citation and Sovereign, Sukhoi Superjet, McDonnell Douglas MD-11 and MD-87, Diamond DA42 and even the Lockheed Super Constellation.
For all filming conducted in security restricted and/ or safety relevant areas, all required approvals are obtained well before our on-site work starts. Calls to and readbacks from ATC are re-enacted based on memory and outside of the actual communication.
