I used to fly on this wonderful airplan in the 90's and early 2000's. it was owned and operated by an mining company named Cerrejon in Colombia (South America) and it was one of the safest, most reliable aircraft ever built. the company then cahnge it to an Embraer ERJ 145. good old days

We had Dash-7 service with USAir when I worked in the tower at KISP in the late 80s. They would do STOL takeoffs on request if they didn’t have a large passenger load. Very nice airplane.

The dash 7 has become obsolete because of the fact it has 4 engines and has no more seating capacity than a dash 8/Q400 it's cheaper to fly 30 people with 2 engines than it is to fly 30 people with 4 engines
