055 destroyer, best Chinese Navy warship, packed with most advanced weapons and radar sensors

The Type 055 destroyer is the largest surface combatant currently being built in the world, a key player of Chinese Navy.
055 has a length of 180m, full load displacement of 13,000t. It is actually larger than Ticonderoga-class cruiser.
It is powered by four 28 MW QC-280 gas turbines, and six 5 MW QD-50 gas turbines, achieving 30 knots.
055 has multiple Phased Array Radar systems, including Over-the-horizon radar capable of detecting F-22 or F-35 at long distance.
Its comprehensive active and passive jamming system can provide extra protection against enemy missiles.
A H/PJ-38 130 mm gun provides fast firing coverage to combat surface targets, also can be used as anti-aircraft gun. There is also one H/PJ-11 CIWS system.
In Jan 2022, the onboard automated anti-frogman system is revealed for the first time. It is an automated grenade launcher system that can attack divers, possibly providing limited anti-torpedo support.
The most important weapon system of 055 is two vertical missile launchers, one 64 cells and one 48 cells. The main anti-aircraft missile is HQ-9B, an upgraded long range active radar guidance missile. HQ-9B can shot down sea-skimming anti-ship missile. And HQ-10 close range missiles provide extra protection.
Three YJ-18 missile variants provides anti-ship, anti-submarine and land-attack capabilities.
At least four 055 destroyers are now in service, and more are being built. It is expected the total number will reach 20.
Type 055 has the best surface combat system in Chinese Navy, integrating large amount of battlefield sensors and data links. It is the most important escort platform of Chinese aircraft carrier strike group, supported by 052 family destroyers. If required, it can also play flagship role in a fleet to independently carry out overseas missions.
It is a platform that latest Chinese naval technologies being deployed for the first time, like new battle damage design.
And Type 055 destroyers have been carrying out overseas missions to participate in various international exercises.
