Another great discussion. In my early freelance days pricing was a big problem for me. For example, I had no idea if my art was worth $40 or $400. Several advertising directors steered me towards "upping" my estimates. The "ADs" interest was to keep the pricing of goods and services generally on par with other professional artists. Pricing at the "fair market value" is good for art, artists, and the trade.
