How to Get Monetized on YouTube - Updated Requirements

Here are the milestones you need to hit before you can get monetized on YouTube.
You need 4000 hours of public watch time in the last 12 months. YouTube Shorts, unlisted or private video views do not count towards this number.
You also need 1000 subscribers to get monetized on YouTube.

Another monetization number is 0 community guideline strikes and you need to turn on two-factor authentication.

Once you hit those numbers, you can apply to get monetized on YouTube. This is a simple three-step process. Once you apply to get monetized, YouTube will review your application.

The monetization application process can take from a few days up to a month.

Once you join the YouTube partner's program, you will get 55% of the revenue YouTube generates from running ads on your videos.
