wow I'm only 7 videos in and I feel like I understand this so much more than my last 1.5 semesters of econometrics. Good work!

You are my everything. I have an Econometrics final in a week and my teacher is so mathematically formal I get completely lost in the details. Thank you so much.

I originally came for this video, but now I'm gonna stay for the whole course. It really is great help! Thanks!

I think I love you. you make econometrics not look so complicated. Was bricking it- have an econometrics exam in january but think i'm going to incorporate your videos into my revision. Thank you so much for the videos

Hi, thanks for your message. Yes - the population value of beta corresponds to the slope parameter. Thanks, Ben

I think your way of writing is a work of art. Totally incomprehensible but then I somehow can read what you wrote in the end. Thanks for these videos.

Hi, glad to hear you enjoyed the video, and hope you enjoy the rest of the course. Best, Ben

This is really great as a refresher course! I have Wooldridge which is pretty good and explains things quite well but sometimes I have to sit and think about what its actually saying. These videos are really clear and simple!

Never understood consistency better than now! Thank you very much!

The second line you draw is not on frequency, but density at y axis.

Dude this is amazing! Thank you so much for this course

So... the frequency plot represents the frequency at which you get certain values of beta after applying your estimation formula to a sample of a given size?

What happens if the estimator has more than 1 modes. I mean, what if B* has two frequency peaks? Does that mean the estimator is biased and inconsistent?

For consistency, are we saying as n tends to infinity,
(i) [ b = B ] ... sample b tends to population B, OR
(ii) [ E(b) = B ] ... expected value of sample b tends to population B

Hi Sir :) Thanks alot for all your efforts it will help millions. i have one question, you made a different graph when you taught about BLUE but for Beta values you made skewed graph. can you please explain the reason. Thank you :)

Hi Ben and everyone following this lecture, Could you please elaborate as to how in this video my sample has for Beta1 a frequency of 3, while my population has a lesser frequency for Beta1 (with sample being a proper subset of the population)..

so is B1, B2, B3 etc the number of times we sample and is each sample? Or is it each thing we're observing by like gender, race, height, weight etc? I'm very confused on this
