Another honorable mention: Sheldon lending Penny rent money.

He did this with nary a string attached or even a timetable for repayment, simply because he had the money to lend and Penny needed it. Not only did it show that Sheldon had grown to care about Penny, but also that Sheldon is the type who would do anything for his friends when they were really in a bind.

Honestly, they were my favorite relationship on the show. They weren’t just friends they were family.

My favorite is when Sheldon tries to teach Penny Physics. I crack up every time I see it. Especially at the end when she tells Leonard the part she memorized. The look on Sheldon’s face is priceless 😂

I can't remember the name of the episode but it's the one where Sheldon is knocking on Penny's apartment door and in between knocks, Penny shouts, "WHO DO WE LOVE?" (knock knock knock) "WHO DO WE LOVE?" (knock knock knock) "WHO DO WE LOVE?" (knock knock knock) and then Penny opens her apartment door and smiles at Sheldon before letting him in. That scene kills me.

You guys always leave off the scene where Sheldon wake Penny up and asks that she not hurt his friend (Leonard) by breaking up with him. Its maybe more of a Sheldon thing, but it was one of the most tender and caring things Sheldon has ever done.

- Penny cut his hair when his usual hairdresser was in the hospital
- Penny tried to teach him acting
- Sheldon lent Penny money when she was poor
- Penny helped Sheldon a lot in his relationship with Amy

I think my #1 favorite moment is when Sheldon hugged Penny and then gave her all of those gift baskets.

By the way, I want that decorative piece that hangs above her bed in the "emergency room, " episode.

Penny and Sheldon’s friendship was the best part of Big Bang Theory!

They forgot the episode where Sheldon had to go to court to fight a traffic ticket and ends up in jail. As a reward, Penny takes him to Stan Lee's house. There was also the episode when Penny reads a parenting book and uses some of the techniques on Sheldon to curb his behaviors. It works, much to Leonard's and Amy's dismay.

Sheldon has knocked on Penny’s door more than anyone and she knows just how to respond.

Penny and Sheldon’s relationship is more important and special than her and Leonard’s because it wasn’t driven by sex and superficial values, the way Leonard’s pursuit of her was. Sheldon and Penny’s friendship developed organically and deepened over time to whereas they became family, brother and sister, and even when she wasn’t on the best of terms with Leonard they still had a strong relationship. They became very in tune with each other in a way that no one else shares with him.

From episode one she is sweet on him. Really grows to adore him and it's shown a lot by Penny's willingness to adapt to his craziness. It's the sweetest of them all.
