A last minute packrafting and wild camping micro adventure. Thrown together at the last minute as we chased the last of the suns rays only to be eaten alive on landing. My first night in the Durston X-Mid Solid 1p too.

Watching this on my laptop in my living room, with a headset on and I keep hearing midges buzzing round my ears (at around 4.05). Quite disconcerting! Especially when I keep trying to swat them away...😊

Nice video but it looks like a lot of effort for such a brief trip out? I guess if you've only got one night free it's making the most of what you have available but I'm not sure that I could go to all that effort of packing, travelling and setting up for one short night away. Anyway, nuce video, the x-mid looked good, the offset inner does take a bit of getting used to doesn't it.

Must have been early as its usually busy with tourists. Just done the the signs for the new view point up from the carpark. Not sure if it's open yet but some view.

You pitched that well. Nice lines. A flat pitch always helps with the xmids. I have found tussocky grass isnt ideal but pitching fly first and then hanging the inner helps rather than all in one.
Watching packrafting always makes me anxious. I get misconceived fears of losing my gear. Yeah, stupid but I can't help it😂

Honestly I'm feeling like I should have put a lottery ticket on after the other day and seeing this video wae the new tent lol
I do fancy getting an xmid to replace the old lanshan, more space inside I think from what I gather, But Great Video as always. Looks like it was a glorious day despite the dreaded midge!

Nice one Andy. Katrine is ace for a wee paddle camp! There’s a couple of good spots across the other side of the loch from where you were too that’s not easily accessible other than by a boat . Cheers 👌🏻
