Ukraine Has Invaded Russia

Ukraine has invaded Russia. They have now captured as much as 350 square kilometers of and are now at least 15 miles deep into Russia. They’ve taken a massive amount of Russian soldiers as prisoners. It’s become very clear that this isn’t like previous raids, this is a full scale planned operation. For the past few weeks, Ukraine has been destroying the electrical and communication infrastructure in Kursk. It does seem like they plan to occupy the land and hold it. Perhaps even acquire more with some saying they may aim to take the nearby nuclear power plant. But there’s a bit of a debate over what the purpose of this is. On one side, you have people saying they’re taking the land as leverage to force Russia to give them their land back. On the other side, you have people saying it’s to force Russia to take troops off the frontlines and dedicate them to trying to reclaim Russia. I don’t see why it can’t be both. Putin is reportedly personally in charge of this situation, which is probably why it’s going so well for Ukraine.
