Turn your smartphone into a PC | Windows 10 on ARM with the Lumia 950 | The Idea of Technology

Here we go and welcome to my attempt on running the @Microsoft Lumia 950 with dual boot to Windows Mobile and Windows 10 on ARM. It is simply crazy that this five year old smartphone with a @snapdragon 808 and 3 GB of RAM is capable of running Windows on ARM. I took me a couple of hours to modify the OS of my Lumia 950 but now it is running nicely. Thanks a lot to everyone developing WoA on this device and investing their time. So this is what i thought what windows phone would be. When newly launched

From this video to now (one month later) there were some great optimization boosts. Both models can now be used with the dock and external monitor screen, on the 950 i´ve seen all six cpu been used, and on both the new Edge browser is now running fine. I´ve been using the 950 XL as a daily PC with my dock for some days now, keyboard and mouse (and a external dvd burner!), and if the developers will get some more issues solved, i would be just super happy. If you are able to reflash it as described, it is better than lying unused on the shelf.

Btw: i've watched this video with the dock and monitor without issues.

Unbelievable development. Was not happy having to move from a 950 to iPhone in 2018. iPhone died filming underwater last week, so switched back to the 950 and realised how much I prefer the UI. Perhaps if all cores now function with full W10 + phone shell I can run my banking and messenger apps that are no longer available for WP!
