My dad passed away last night, I've never heard this song before but it was the last thing he searched on his phone..

This song was written by an army soldier. He felt like what he did was wrong, so he wrote this for a person who would turn it into an actual song with the true intent behind it. This is what the result is. It isn’t written by a hero. Or a villain. It was written by a man who felt what he did was wrong but wanted to do write by admitting something when he didn’t have to. Please truly appreciate whoever wrote and published this. My dad was in the army. He knows about things like this. Those of you who truly understand this song, thank you. This sounds like the perfect song for a fallen hero or someone who saw themselves as a good person until something made them realized that they were much more darker than they originally thought but it's too late for them now. They just stand there and sort of embrace this thing that they have become, not a hero but not quite the villain or a monster.
