Emma is joined by author Gina Dent on her book Abolition. Feminism. Now.: A Transformative Exploration of Intersectional Freedom Work and Movement Genealogy.

"Abolition. Feminism. Now.: A Transformative Exploration of Intersectional Freedom Work and Movement Genealogy" is an enlightening collaboration by distinguished scholar-activists Angela Y. Davis, Gina Dent, Erica R. Meiners, and Beth E. Richie, which challenges the misconceived notion of abolition and feminism as separate or incompatible endeavors. This profound work showcases the concealed legacies of queer, anti-capitalist, women-of-color-led, grassroots, and internationalist feminist movements that have significantly shaped contemporary abolitionist and feminist paradigms. Illustrated with visual depictions of grassroots activists' efforts, the book sheds light on historical connections, global insights, and practical everyday actions, envisioning a future that fosters collective prosperity and well-being through community-based organizing and empowerment.

Hey Majority Report! Wanted to throw a new term your way. We are living in the “Silent Depression” right now and no one else is talking about it! In 1930 during the height of the Great Depression $4800 was the average single person income which adjusted for inflation is equivalent to $85, 000. Right now annual average salary is 56, 000.
Currently people are making less then at the height of Great Depression! In 1930 gas was 10 cents a gallon on average which is adjusted to a $1.73 a gallon. Encase you haven’t been filling up lately the current average is $3.55! To buy a new car in 1930 would be about $860 worth $15, 000 now. The Average cost of new car today $48, 000
And of course let’s not forget the most coveted asset of the American dream. A New house was 3900$ Back in 1930. Which is less than $70, 000 when adjusted for inflation. The Average price for a new home today $416, 000.. we are currently weathering the Silent Depression and I’m not sure even a minority of people realize it much less a majority.

White girl feminism is complaining about the lack of pockets on the pants you chose to purchase. Real feminism is pointing out those designer pants were made by mostly women in sweatshops.

I felt really lost throughout this interview. Maybe yt desire to not want to get too specific left it so macro that I didn't understand what was being discussed. I want to learn, but I didn't get much from this

I'm surprised these folks would want to abolish feminism.

Emma is so fueled by emotion, she's unable to talk about any subject without acting like pubescent teenager. Too much rage and narciscm to think rationally.

you hear that everyone? The next time you see or hear of a child being abused. DO NOT CALL CHILD SERVICES. Instead have a civil discussion with the abusive yet oppressed parent in question, and find out ways you can aid in their neglect. Because we we don't want to ruin these peoples lives by getting the state involved. Lend a helping hand and hope next time the child comes out of it alive, unless they already kicked the bucket. That's the only way we can start "weaning off the state's influence". I've never such intellectually dishonest, reprehensible, BS ever!
