The thing about this carnival game is, that the scissors wont cut the string at all, until a specific amount of money is in the machine. This is no joke, it has been prooved. The scissors just look like they close to cut, but wont close enough to cut the string enough.

My mum worked in an arcade. I helped out sometimes. These machines are literally on timers. They drop when they are supposed to drop. We would set these machines at 100. So you would have to play 100 times before winning. The shop around the corner sold the same teddies for around £15 where as the machine would happily take £100
