How to Update Battery Date for Smart UPS during Battery Insertion

Salutes, very good video, my model SRT10KRMXLT does not allow me to change the battery installed date, happens that once we change it, it comes back to prevoius time again in a while, even when it was turned off and on, never showed that question about a new batteries installed.

Update: After an hour with support, the solution ended up being to shut off the UPS power to power down all outputs, unplugging it from the wall, removing the battery for 5 minutes, then reinserting the battery, wall plug, and powering on again. Then, once it's been fully power cycled from dead, reinserting the battery again successfully triggers the battery install date menu. Finally, correcting the install date also recalculated my replace-by date.

I accidentally entered the wrong year when replacing the battery in my SMT750C and no matter how many times I swap between the new and old battery, the date entry screen won't come up again. It just asks "New battery installed?" but after selecting Yes, it just goes to the main screen. Even factory resetting it doesn't bring back the battery date selection screen and the unit remembers the incorrect year I input. Did you guys never think that someone might enter the battery install date wrong?

Sadly your instructions don't work. I tried it several times but the unit does not show the time and date dialog, even If I select the new battery option.
Unfortunately I entered a wrong date once and now the whole unit is "locked", this dialog won't show EVER again. even putting back the old battery won't help.
So I give up now. It is a bug 😞
