We have some of those bits at work for drilling holes in the porcelain tile walls. We’re able to get 3 holes in before the bloody head melts off.

I bought a pair of similar looking cheap drill bits from amazon, and they genuinely do drill through ceramic and somewhat thin metals (not paper thin, they do have some depth to them). I had to use them to install chemical dispensers in grocery stores. I was shocked how well they worked and held their sharpness.

You need water to drill through ceramic and don't put pressure on the back of a drill ever for any reason unless you put a die grinder bit in it. Pushing makes the drill slower and it makes the bit get hot and eventually get dull. The weight of the drill is more than enough pressure. It's the speed that makes a difference.

Use oil to drill through steel. Thats a carbide bit so it will eventually make it through but it actually goes slower when you push against it.
