As the first Missouri hospital in Kansas City to achieve accreditation as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, we offer a patient-centered experience from the moment you arrive for your appointment. Scheduling your appointment is very easy and doesn't require a referral from your physician. Our nationally recognized program offers advanced diagnostic and clinical technology, such as Breast MRI, for higher quality, more accurate screenings. Early diagnosis increases odds of a successful recovery.
If an abnormal mammogram is detected, we walk women through their biopsy options. For women with dense breast tissue or strong personal history of breast cancer, a non-surgical alternative is available, a stereotactic - or ultrasound guided - biopsy. Our staff understands this time can be difficult and remains actively involved in a patient's clinical care, as well as supporting emotional and social concerns.
