Raindrop + Obsidian/Logseq/Roam = 🔥🔥🔥 | How I Use Raindrop with my note-taking app

Raindrop is a free all-in-one bookmark manager app where you can save thought, ideas and inspiration throughout your day. Combined with a note-taking app like Obsidian, Roam, RemNote and Logseq, you can easily build a great note-taking system.

Previously, I've been using an app called mymind for my Idea Storage and Roam Research as my Idea Factory. But they cost $25 a month, which is not ideal! In my previous video, I talked about Logseq, which is an amazing free alternative for Roam. In this video, I wanted to show you how Raindrop can be a great free alternative for mymind.

Hey friends! Thanks for watching ;) Forgot to mention, the highlights with Hypothe.is are synced to Readwise, which then will be synced to my Obsidian vault via its official plugin. Since I use the same vault in Logseq, I can see the highlights in Logseq too. Sorry for the potential confusion.

Thank you for sharing! I installed it in the Chrome and only use it as my website bookmark. It’s interesting to see the collaboration and interaction with other apps. As a Win user, I am still wondering how can I make best use of Raindrop.

Great video, VERY helpful. thanks. Do you know of a note taking app (Roam, Logseq, etc) where you can toggle blocks as desired to get the desired level of detail and have it print that view as shown on the screen instead of printing EVERYthing ? thx

I am curious about how you are getting saved articles/bookmarked sites in Raindrop to sync to Obsidian. I saw some very bare-bones plugins people had made, but they are un-official plugins and also havent been updated in years. Ideally, I would love a system when I could save a page to Raindrop and then have that page, along with the media thumbnails, tags, etc., nicely sync over to Obsidian... however it doesn't seem like that exists eh? :(

Hello. I've been checking with Hypothes.is support guays about a behaviour of the Readwise addon that enables to sync Hypothes.is annotations.
The problem we've noticed comes from the further sync in Obsidian (using also the Readwise addon).
All the sources from Youtube videos identify the author as "Youtube" and the URL as the main Youtube one (not the particular video instance).
The effects of that behaviour are:
1. Once you create different annotations using Hypothes.is in several Youtube videos (no matter which channel or creator), Readwise syncs them pinned into the same author and source, therefore they appear in one single Obsidian Note as highlights from the same source. (and it is not true).

Do you have any idea how to improve or solve this?

Thanks for a great overview updating your methodology of idea storage + idea factory.
You say you use LOGSEQ.
Have you ditched ROAM completely?
How have you then transferred your ROAM idea factory to LOGSEQ ('and' OBSIDIAN)?
Parallel systems?
Was it easy?

Also,
ALFRED is MAC OS ... WINDOWS (universe) has no good alternative! As far as I know?

I really don't mean to be over-critical, but you prattle on about this app and that app, and totally gloss over the topic about poor old Raindrop :(. You don't even show us the GUI. I thought the subject was about Raindrop, after watching you, I wouldn't inspire me to rush out and buy it [even though I do own it] (I was after some general usage info). I do like your channel and the info you provide, you're a straight-shooter with no krap. Good for you and Very Well Done!!!

Is Raindrop only for saving links, and not for saving specific snippets, small hand-written notes, pictures, etc.?
