The Menendez brothers' attorney Mark Geragos confirmed to NewsNation that he's filed documents asking California Gov. Gavin Newsom for clemency. "You don't have to read between the lines to see that the governor is seriously considering the idea of granting clemency to the Menendez brothers," Geragos said on "Banfield." "He even invoked the words 'fast track.'" Additionally, the Menendez brothers will be seeking to recall their murder conviction if a resentencing takes place and instead ask for the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter, according to Geragos.

I am from the UK and have followed both of the Menendez brothers persuit for freedom. Here in the UK the brothers have an overwhelming following who are all hoping that the Menendez family find the closure that they are seeking. What the brothers have been put through since early chilhoor has been heartbreaking and i am hoping now that the Govenor gives the btothers clemency in time for thanksgiving. Thus family deserve to be united before another member passes!

Omg I’m about to cry. I want them out and at their families dinner table for Thanksgiving. It is only 5:49 am. I’m here all teary eyed.

They have already spent over 34 years in prison so they have paid for their crime for many years.
The brothers have been exemplary inmates and have been doing a lot of good in in prison, for anyone that may be worried about them being a potential danger to society. Lyle has never even gotten into a fight during his incarceration. Erik works with dying and disabled inmates. There are letters of recommendation from their correctional officers, and they are both well respected by staff and inmates alike. You can find their prison records online to read yourself.

This case matters so much to thousands of people, for different reasons. This is an opportunity for the judicial system to right a wrong and evolve. The way victims of CSA / SA are treated to this day, is horrendous. It is time for the law to start incorporating more awareness of trauma and abuse, and to focus more on helping the victim, not on just getting a conviction.
