Wouldn't be the first time Zatanna's poor sense of judgment caused a lot of problems down the line, like how when Raven first showed up to ask for help against Trigon and Zatanna went all Mermaid Man on her and went until Raven left.

Its worth noting Clark almost went into a blind rage aswell. I believe it was this series, when he found out what they did to Brce and he gently as he could, confronts the league about it, and Green Lantern puts his hand on Clarks shoulder to say “it was the only way” only for Clark to grab his hand and break it, following up with “Do. NOT. Touch. Me.” His eyes glowing red. It cuts to the rest of the league, who rightfully, are about to wet themselves at this sight.

I like the first half of Identity Crisis but it really just went sort of off kilter but I’d never seen a story outside of HUSH that made me go “ya know maybe Bruce isn’t crazy to have these back up plans”
