There's no way Superman could have known at the time. If it was Bruce Willis from Unbreakable and he didn't sense what was going on from shaking hands with Jared, that would have been a different story....

what makes this worse is that Superman has been around since the 30's and before this point he's never shaken hands with someone history has looked badly on. Think about That.
