I just finished reading “A Farewell to Arms” by Ernest Hemingway for the first time. In this video, I talk about what the physical book was like (it was a a Collier mass market edition) and give some scattered impressions of what it was like to read the book for the first time. I hope you enjoy
The video and don’t forget to subscribe. Best regards, Leafy.

Liked the review!

Hearing you thoughts on the actual book recalled my time in high school when I read The Sun Also Rises, with a cover painting by James and Ruth McCrea.

The vivid, Impressionistic cover art of those paperbacks were part of my experience of discovering Hemingway.

Those paperbacks are worth collecting!

I have the Collier edition of To Have and Have Not :) we'll have to have a more in-depth Hemingway convo. Lots to talk about!
