How to store or save image files in an SQL server database? After watching this video you will be able to do it yourself.

This all works fine for me until I add the controls to the form. The 'details' controls are fine but on my drop down I only have 'DataGridView' but no 'GridView' . DataGridView doesn't allow me to add any images to the database.

I'm just getting back into programming after many years. I used to store images in the file system. Now that I'm reading up on newer techniques, seems that there are at least a couple of methods better than using an Image datatype. For example, either varbinary(max) or FileTables... wouldn't either of these methods be better than the Image datatype?
