Traded in my 2020 tacoma trd off road for a zr2. You made the right decision. Couldnt wait to get rid of that gutless tacoma

People that complain about the hard plastics on the interior must not realize that the entire mid-size segment is designed this way … simplicity is the game. If you want a posh interior, then you’re looking at $55K++. This ZR2 can be had for roughly $45K and nothing else comes close in the segment for capability. Simple 1.5” level & 33s are all these trucks really need … easy & not very expensive. 👍🏻

I went with the Duramax (baby max) and love it. Tows like a mule and my best mpg so far is 41. Great truck.

I have a 2017 Colorado and I have NO complaints! I love it, I do like the Metallic!

The shock mount issue have been addressed for the next gen. I think GM was cost cutting, and just used the standard Colorado/Canyon shock mounts instead of having to make one specifically for ZR2. Silverado ZR2 has the same issue.

Great review. I like this honest style instead of the 'influencer' hyped up reviews with tons of annoying editing.

Good video, my friend just got the same truck in black, bought it right off the showroom floor she loves it. I drove it and really like it, all your points are well taken. Another video the guy said the seats were terrible, i thought they were great, whatever. thanks and goodluck with your new truck, i love the color and the sound system kicks ass.

Rokblok flaps do a great job of keeping the side of mine clean, MBRP pro series exhaust, S&B cold air intake, switch to led immediately and also led switch back

Subbed 👍🏼. It’s just a shame that they’re getting rid of the diesel for 2023.

I have a 19 Z-71, and yes the headlamps are weak. Also, the door pockets are a bad design/small. My 19 Ford Escape has great pockets. Looking to buy a 23 Colorado (if it has LED headlamps) or a Ranger w/ LEDs. I hope Chevy keeps the V-6, but it looks like the 2.7 is going to be the only engine.

You should see Hawaii. Everybody has either a taco or 4Runner. I mean they are great products and reliable, but damn have some variety

Love my ZR2, the front and rear lockers really come in handy! Did a basic walk around on mine

She's a sexy truck!
Makes me wanna trade my really clean 02' Blazer ZR2. Wish they came with a turbo 4.3ltr- (a solid & proven engine)
I got way too much in mine, more than what it's worth. New Tranny, etc.
I got 300k on mine & she runs smoother than my Wife's new car. Still getting 16mpg in town & 18 to 19mpg on highway.
I've never owned anything with a backup camera or car play. Definitely enjoy lockers. I'd have to level that front but I love that color & what Chevy has done.

i got my gloss black redline colorado on june 30th, 2022, it has a little over 1200 miles, only drive it on weekends to go shopping, i'm retired, i wanted a 4x4, none were in stock, z71 or zr2, mine has 7000 lbs towing, with the tow package, v6, cloth interior, auto, locking rear diff, i'm really liking it so far, the only trailers we have is a 6x12 utilty for our atv which weighs almost 900 lbs, and a 6x14 cargo trailer we use as a home made camper, we live in west central florida, we don't " need " a 4x4 but it would be nice if we do go out of state or into 1 of the forest roads down here, i like your desert tan, nice truck

Thanks for the video. I have the same truck (different color). For me, there are a couple of cons that make me go

Agreed about the rear sliding window: This is my top complaint. What person at GM (who gets paid a lot of money I'm sure), decided a manual sliding window is good? It's basically useless. You can't reach it to open/close while driving. This is so stupid.
Hand grabs (oh shit handles). This is designed for off road, so why not make it like that just a little on the interior. There's a handle on the passenger side, but where are the others on driver and rear?
No power USB or USB-C in the middle console. It's blanked out. Why?
Wireless phone charger. It's too small for any phone. Either make it bigger or just remove it.
Rear seat AC/Heat vents. My wife has a Jeep Willys and it has rear vents. The Colorado, nope.

Overall I really like this truck. I too plan to overland it eventually. But these few things really make no sense for the price paid.
