Good luck, Adam. I am also diabetic. I think everything will be fine if you just take your meds properly and get just a little exercise, maybe a little walk at rest areas. It is keeping my readings in good territory. We're in your corner! STAY SAFE!!! 👍👍👍

Hey man I feel your pain in the beginning of last year 2022 I got sick really bad wound up being in a Diabetic comer blood sugar only 33 I'm 66 and I knew if I went to get my recertification Medical card witch expired 10/22 I would Fail the very next day my CDL A-X-T. was dowgraded to a regular Drivers License and PA DOT gave me another 30 more days to take it but I didn't think I would pass so I let it go My plan was to Keep Trucking till I couldn't Pass the medical anymore I guess the time arrived sooner than I expected I did my 42 years It's true Tucking Absolutely does get into your Blood It was one of the most Painful things that ever happened to me Loosing that CDL I always Protected That license Spotless record 40 years I wish you the BEST!! MAN!!

I’m sorry to hear that, another way to avoid it is to is it intermittent fasting, There is a lot of stuff on YouTube. I used to be a diabetic too but intermittent made me not diabetic anymore. Good luck

I am a pre-diabetic. I watch what i eat and I take metformin. I exercise as much as i can. No sweets no carbs and i try to stay away from salt..

Go home, get it under control. I’ve known of plenty of drivers with diabetes. You need to fix your diet as well as medication. Good luck. You’ve got this.

My A1C is 7.0. I allowed my medical to expire. I haven't driven in 10 years. It is really hard to eat well when on the road. Fasting the fastest way to drop your blood sugar and you lose weight in the process. Celery, carrots, and fruit. You need to do whatever it takes. Diabetes kills a lot of people through heart disease and a whole lot more.

Can't say for sure if this would work for you, but I went from 8.5 Ac to 6.5 by starting Januvia and believe it or not, cinnamon capsules. I'm no expert, just know it worked for after 2 years struggling to get it down. Good luck friend.

My doctor put me on the trucker diet it’s simple it’s the 10-10 no more than 10 carbs and no more than 10 sugar when buy something and it has more than 10-10 put it back so far so good hoping to get my 2 year card soon these meds suck ✌️

I don't know how anyone can fail a DOT Physical these days with all the 450 pound drivers in Pajama Pants and Flip Flops on the road. They sure look healthy.
