I always wash my hands when I come in from the shops or having a coffee outside my home. I also always change my clothes if I have been around people who are sneezing or coughing. (My Dr gave me that tip!) xxx Happy Holidays! 🎄😘

Great tips! As someone who works at a hospital, the biggest tip I can give is WASHING YOUR HANDS! Foam in and out, everyone😊

Wash your hands immediately after entering your home from an outing. Nasal wash and salt water gargle. All work for me.

I have no trouble sleeping. I get up at 5:00am and work hard all day. I am ready for bed at 7:00pm and asleep by 8:00. This is my new life. I am an empty nester and have done the bar/club/dating thing and I am perfectly happy with my life. I am at peace.

A huge factor for getting sick during the holidays is that before, people are stressed out, but still have to function. Once the holidays start and the body calms down, the adrenaline is gone and everything can break out. It is important to get some peaceful time during the day to relax and calm down, so that the body has a good chance to recover from the day-to-day stress as well.

Thank you Lisa....I like that it is simple and not complicated....sugar always get the best of me for the holidays but I am choosing the dessert that I want and not going for the others. As a cook in a kitchen it is not always easy to do this [also implementing so of your cooking ideas there and getting rave results]. I also believe a great mattress is what makes it better for sleeping. I have started a routine of going to bed at the same time each day and pretty much wake up at the same am feeling so much better doing this.

Love that you included fixes. My dad had gone to a dinner of about 25 people. Everyone got sick (food poisoning) but him. He had drank two small glasses of red wine. Not really condoning drinking but make sure to follow your suggestion. Oh and don’t sit near my brother in law. He will continue to fill your glass every time it gets a little low

Sleep. Unfortunately, I am not getting enough sleep outside of the holiday season. As a result, I'm starting from the basics which is to change my eating habits.

Getting sufficient sleep is crucial. Lack of sleep is one of my “horrors”:)))
I’d also add stress to one of those reasons we get sick more often, it seems, during any holiday season (you’re so right about that). There’s so much to do, we try to cram so many things into shorter periods of time & eventually we wear ourselves out.
