hey gary, when i turn my lights on, they stay on but my break lights don’t work. when my lights are off my break lights don’t work either. any idea why?

I’m actually changing mine from amber to red as I prefer it, I’m from the UK and I like the US style, we could of swapped lenses, ill just put a green bulb in and it flashes orange, good video though I was trying to reach the amber bolts from the license plate

Does the amber lights have to be on the outside? I actually installed the opposite way on my 85. Is this incorrect?
