Bought myself a 1985 C4 beater last week and have been using your vids as reference material during restoration and modification, cheers.
I went with the FlowKooler pump, affordable but very good quality with aluminum impeller.
Quite a big job but saves so much money doing it yourself

I struggled to remove the t45 bolt below the ac pump and omg I’ve never been more mad than that

That shorter, skinny fitting that was installed on the new pump...what did you do to get that off? I wrestled my old water pump for about 20 minutes and never got it off. I see a lot of everyone put tape/sealer around that thing too...

Why don't you show putting the water pump back in ? On my 95 C4 the pulley on the air pump is in the way of removal and the install ?

You're missing your air pump silencer. I thought my water pump was bad but the silencer fell off and was grinding on the crank pulley. Sounded similar to yours. You might want to look for that piece sitting near the crank pulley.

I see you did the frisbee delete on the water pump pulley, did you reuse the 4 OEM bolts for the pulley? And if so did it require washers of any sort?
