We tolerated the nexus shortcomings because they had a price that reflected it. Pixels charge a high price for suboptimal hardware.

We need more reviews that actually call these companies out. Excellent piece.

I love the pixel phones but this is so true.

The pixel 3a XL is the best device I have owned. Google should learn from the 3a line and merge the budget and value with the main Pixel line.

If you include Nexus line, Google have at least 10 years of experience and still fail to make it right

Just saying the pixel 3a literally had no problems and is more then enough for most users who will not miss the flagship specs/features.

Seriously, this video was amazing. Professionally done, expertly conveyed, and absolutely didn't feel like a 23 minute video. Well done, please do more of this

The original google pixel was probably the only one that was appealing to me

What a fantastic video.
I'm currently using a 3a XL and I love it. It gives me hope in Google because overall it has been such a fantastic phone for the price. Great camera, strong battery life, and I'm able to play games like COD on high settings with no problem that plus all the Google software add ons and you've got yourself a well rounded if not excellent phone. Google can make amazing phones but as mentioned in the vid they just need the will to want to do it.

Watching this on my pixel 3a, great phone for the price, they should focus on budget friendly phones

Awesome video. Really illustrates how each Pixel generation has been two steps forward, one step back.

Watching this on my Pixel 2XL and I have to say, my Pixel is as good as new.

Still rocking a Pixel 2 regular version. Been my favorite phone to date and I have zero issues with it now on Android 10. Not sure where I'll go from here hope to see what P5 has to offer.

they should spend more on hardware than on the ad campaign

I've owned every Pixel and the 4 XL is easily the best one, followed by the 2 XL. I do agree, however, they should be about $200 cheaper.

When my nexus 6p's battery died at 48%... that was the same time my favorite phone/phone series (nexus) also died

I'm still using my og Pixel XL. It's not great but it's fine. Prior to that I had a Nexus 6 and then a 6p.

I really enjoyed your deep dive. I had a Google phone because of the price, it's ability to work over WiFi, cheap phone plan, and the ability to Max out the memory during purchase. Even with an unexpected black screen a year or so in, they had great customer service (thank God) & replaced my phone out of warranty. I would buy another phone from them.
