What is a Qubit? - A Beginner's Guide to Quantum Computing

Показать описание
What is a qubit? Just as a classical bit has a state – either 0 or 1 – a qubit also has a state. Two possible states for a qubit are the states Ket 0 and Ket 1, which are similar to the states 0 and 1 of a classical bit.

The difference between bits and qubits is that, unlike bits, qubits can be in a state other than Ket 0 or Ket 1. It is perfectly legal to have a linear combination of these two states.

This phenomenon is called quantum superposition.

LOSE the whooshing sound effects. It is too loud and DISTRACTING.

after you remove those 'whoosh' sounds, i'll watch

I now understand everything there is to know about WHOOSH

You have done a great job at not overcomplicating things while at the same time avoiding the pitfalls of simplifying quantum mechanics.
The woosh sound is at the very least too distracting and should be toned down, replaced or removed altogether.
I would love seeing a more in depth video on quantum computing.

Really nice presentation of a very complicated topic. Will watch entanglement next. Thank you.

While I am totally lost on the maths I found this video help me understand how qubits can provide information. Thank you great explanation.

When people search for 'What is a qubit', they probably won't feel enlightened until they know why is a qubit more powerful that a normal bit, and give an example of this advantage in action. It's probably best to put these all together in one. (hint: I've seen other videos do this in 24 fewer seconds!)

I see others already comment but the loud sound effects was the first thing I notice too and it really made it difficult to focus on the contents. I find the video interesting though, would like to try again if there’s better sound version. Thanks for making it.

I kept flinching bro. Them sound affects are brutal.

Please either remove annoying background music or level down the background music volume

The sound effects are unbearable and even the background music interferes with what is being explained. Better improve the quality of sound of the speaker and suppress all music and sound effects that are too distracting

Okay, i believe i understand fairly well what it is they DO, and how their function differs from "regular" bits. But there is something fundamental im not understanding and am having trouble finding resource on. What IS a qubit? Is it a electron or something?

So superposition allows the qubits to have parts of ket 1 and ket 0? How does having parts of ket 1 and ket 0 affect the calculations if a qubits only gives ket 1 or ket 0 after being measured? Also how does it run different simulations simultaneously

And that is why understandi-.. *WHOOSH**WHOOSH*… is the key to quantum computing

I think the qubit is yet to be define in terms of representation of Alphbet and Number is explaination for a decimal point in standard binary computing...

Bro change the title. You said for beginners. I didn’t understand half the words in the first 2 minutes. Couldn’t keep watching

You should reduce the transition noise and the sound is too annoying!

nice video overall but i would suggest that the wooshing sound could be minimized. Thanks!

I don't know quantum videos give me a headache as I try hard to understand,
Something is wrong, every quantum guy talks same tone, no one can explain in easy language

Video is a great explanation for beginners, but the music is quite annoying 😭 something like quiet hang drums would have been perfect
