1:20 those markings are plastic inlays for the wifi and bluetooth signals, since they don't have plastic within the hinge like some others (even the new MBPs do on the user facing side, metal on the outside)

Those are antenna lines. For WiFi/nfc other wireless networks on a metallic device. Common in phones.

I totally love this surface laptop, the speaker design under the keyboard really amazing so that my laptop doesn't have any speaker holes anymore. I also love the new design and the battery hours is 14.5 really amaze me.
