Microsoft announced the new Surface Laptop 3, a successor to last year’s Surface Laptop 2, which is now available in two different sizes and with two different processors. It’s the first Surface Laptop model to be available in a 15-inch version, and the first Surface product to use an AMD processor.

As a Pixelbook user, can I just say these laptops are beautiful? The wedge shape is so, so elegant. And $999 is a great price!

So for the past 6 months, I have been using the Surface Laptop 3 as my primary work device. The overall experience using the laptop has been awesome. The device is fast enough to do my common work tasks which are done using the Edge Browser and Microsoft Excel. My only complaint has been connecting Bluetooth headsets and establishing a secure connection. Each time I would do so, there would be times I would have to restart the computer entirely and re-pair to the laptop. I have dealt with it as long as I can and was about to give up on the laptop just for the reason of not being able to use my Bluetooth headset. However, looking through my favorite place, Amazon, I have found a solution; a Bluetooth receiver. The receiver I have plugged into my dell external display where my laptop is plugged in using USB C. So far the solution has been working and I know love working for my at home setup. Great video as always.

The new colors look good. Microsoft should have really added a thunderbolt port though. It was the only drawback of the surface laptop 2. Now the new one has also inherited this downside.

I just finished watching the Surface event. They could've just added a thunderbolt 3 port to the surface laptop but it's not really a need for majority of the consumers. With laptop makers diving in to content creation, I think Microsoft push back a little and directed their products to the other half of the majority which enjoys a little less editing and more for research/business.

You know what I like? How Microsoft went out of their way to give each colour of laptop its own unique standard wallpaper.

It's a small thing . . . but a nice touch.

can we just take a moment to appreciate how FIRE this laptop design is? like seriously, this is a beautiful laptop. like, macbook levels of design here. AND it comes in black!

can't wait to see what this year's model will offer!

There's a lot to look forward with specs like these!!! Microsoft is at it. Just this time don't mess with the update. I'm looking forward to surface book 3.
