When I was younger I worked at a roadside crab stand (in front of Mercy high school) all of our crabs were from Louisiana but we were told to say they were local if anyone asked.

According to the Louisiana Crawfish Company YouTube channel, most of/a large portion of the blue crabs sold in Maryland are actually from Louisiana. There aren't enough crabs in the Chesapeake Bay to meet the demand. I've also heard people from Maryland say the crabs out there are practically non-existent in some places now, as their populations have been decimated.

Look into where most of the crabs in Maryland come from. You have definitely had Louisiana crabs before. They account for most of the crabs in Maryland

Louisiana seafood (shrimp crawfish oysters crabs etc )are the best because of the brackish water etc all along the Mississippi River banks you never need fertilizer the soil is perfect for growing just about anything. You haven’t had an oyster until you’ve had area 3 Louisiana oysters

DE/MD blue crabs are delicious. Sad thing around here is they are super expensive. $500 a bushel.

Yes sir! Us Marylanders are biased obviously buttt i agree with you. I've had LA blue crabs n they're good, but there's something different about Chesapeake Bay crabs, maybe it's as simple as them being fresher, but I'll go MD over LA anyday.

you should try a blue manner crab from western australia from mandurah to be specific or australian giant mud crabs

I'm a Louisiana boy and of course you'd say that; btw nobody uses vinegar in their water. We use regular tap water and Zatarain's for the purists in the comment audience. Veggies and garlic are optional.
And I bet you pronounce crawfish as crayfish. 😉

Nothing like the taste of a Blue Crab from the Chesapeake Bay, they have a sweet taste no other crab has.

I love blue crab, I would say that Maryland blue crab is best because of the colder water over Texas and Louisiana blue crab.
