So much of the stuff you do I realize I've done to vent some ADHD energy. I appreciate you reminding me about it and showing it's benefits. Because those have been the little things that bring me joy in life and now I see why!

As a previously very clumsy person, before i started practicing balance, i would literally bump walls and railings regularly & in my house even! Dont even get me started on all the times i wrecked myself trying to scale a baby gate!!! I do wish more people of middle age would focus on these things though as it is very upsetting when my mom in her 60s, who is and always has been very fit has slipped and fallen twice now, once in the snow and once in the rain when she scraped up the side of her face badly. I keep telling her to practice balancing exercises....not sure if she is taking my advice or not but dont stop doing what you're doing, these small effort things can really make a difference in the quality of life for anyone willing to try them out! Thank you!

I had a really bad ankle sprain last year that recently started bothering me again.

1 minute of this, on both feet, and I'm feeling better.

Essentially this exercise is great not just due to proprioception benefits but it strengthens the toe flexors which are generally weak in most people

This felt amazing. I’ve done calf stretches but this was great for my accident prone ankles. Lots of creaks and cracks so I took it slow

Thanks for the tips. I am restarting a training regimen now after exercise has drastically trailed off within the past 2 years of having quit smoking cigarettes (December 2021) and a 70 lbs weight gain ❤ I need more strategy at this than luck but please wish me luck 🙏🤞

Whats the difference between this and a calf raise? looks similar but just without the weight?

Tom, would doing this on a step where your calf can stretch full ROM be more optimal? Or are we not really trying to fully lengthen the calf for this exercise? I have immensely tight calves and I’m always pulling them in football matches, so any reply would be much appreciated. Thanks, love the channel

I started doing this about a month ago hoping to strengthen my right weak ankle which has had several sprains . It resulted in a ressurgance of sharp ankle pain when I stand up from a sitting position, ouch! But doesn't hurt on the step stretch. I wonder why? 🥺
