That's an open-ended question. A wormhole might be the gateway to allow us interstellar travel with our still-primitive space systems. Conversely, it might bring some real interesting, or sinister, alien spacecraft. And, as many have said, 'star wars' are not possible. One side would always be way ahead of us. So if someone arrived, we'd better be prepared with a heck of a welcome-wagon.
