What if Ahsoka NEVER Saved Tarkin? What if Star Wars

Welcome to what if Ahsoka never saved Tarkin! The rise of the Naboo politician Sheev Palpatine, to the rank of supreme Chancellor, had led to the start of a war between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent systems. With the amount of Jedi and clone troopers in battle, a deal had been struck between Palpatine and the Jedi to provide them with Republic officers. One such officer was Wilhuff Tarkin, also Governor of Eriadu, and he soon began serving under Jedi master Even Piell. Upon one mission to secure the valuable Nexus route coordinates, Piell, Tarkin and a group of clones had been captured to the Separatist planet of Lola Sayu, and the Jedi of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano mounted a rescue. A group of Anoobas led by Commandant Osi Sobeck fatally wounded Master Piell, and just before they reached the coordinates from which they could be collected, Tarkin was attacked by Sobeck. Despite initially wounding the warden, it appeared as if Tarkin was about to meet his death in the lava base, when Ahsoka arrived to stab the commandant in the back. Tarkin continued to rise through the ranks of Palpatine’s subsequent Empire, ruling the galaxy through fear, until his demise aboard the Death Star battle station that he had taken great pride in. But what if Ahsoka had never saved Tarkin? What would happen in his absence? As you are going to discover, his premature death could have saved more lives, than just those on Alderaan…

This is one of your better what if's. Anakin being promoted to a master and Ahsoka as a Knight will make the plot of this what-if very interesting. Anakin on the council as a master now means he gets access to all of the archives which is something he wanted. He may not be as conflicted when tempted by the Palpatine.

Anakin never turns, in no small part due to his mom living. So anakin never turns, vader is a clone. Padme takes leia to live on alderan, and shmi takes luke. Because all 3 of there force signatures are very strong. Plo koon, anakin, obiwan, ahsoka, mace windu, cin drallig, and yoda all survive the purge. Anakin goes on to lead the rebellion as the hero with no fear. The 212th, 501st, and wolfpack all join the rebellion under anakin. Anakin and yularen steal a group of aclimaters, venators, and more and start the rebellion with these forces, while anakin being head general, yularen head admiral, and padme being a political adviser in the shadows along with bail organa and others

I know people have been asking for a what if the Temple bombing investigating was throughly / compentantly handled. I know that isn't the main point of this what if, but it seems to be a side effect. With Tarkin out of the way Anakin's unorthodox methods and willingness to bend the rules to do what's right ensure the real culprit gets caught quickly. I think in this what if Palpatine is going to find Anakin following his orders about as well as he follows the council's orders.

I think Ahsoka didn't like Tarkin in the first place. But I don't think she would go to the lengths to end him. Barriss on the other hand would. What if Barriss and Ahsoka teamed up and killed Tarkin? That would have taken a turn.
