My favorite trick lately has been adding a resonator set to the key or fifth to some or all of my drums. If i use it on my drums bus, i have it at 0& most of the time, and automate the wet signal up at the end of a section or whenever it fits. Frequency shifting is also an underrated effect imo. Really nice for "tuning" or change the tone of cymbals, shakers etc. I like automating how much i frequency shift sometimes too
