Is it weird that I collected Pokemon cards back in the day just for the art?

They claim this didn't impact the pulls from packs, but when it's cards with like a 1/2000 or more pull rate there's no way they wouldn't have noticed it unless they were taken from packs before they got sealed.. This would have affected millions of packs and is likely a group of people stealing the cards over years.

The only other explanation I can think of is that TPC made up the story to deflect blame for reduced pull rates.

My 7-year-old nephew asked if you take cards in the factory that they're made. I told him that it's illegal and wrong and a big stupid way to lose your job then they'll find out it's you immediately.

You don't even have to be a Pokemon fan to know that it's difficult to offload that amount of secret rares, if you try to deposit a duffel full of cash into the bank, your going to raise some eyebrows.

i stopped buying and playing the card game right at the end of the sun and moon series (and right before the covid outbreak)
since then, i've only been to 2 pre-release events. evolving skies and the scarlet and violet base set a month ago.
I still visit Pokebeach alot, since I still prefer the TCG to the video games. I trust Water pokemon Master (the man running the site) alot more that Serebii Joe. (Thats a whole other topic, and something that Verlisify has made a couple of videos on it the past. Theres not just TCG articles on the site, but recent news stories and coverage of new game trailers etc.
