The sad truth: This video will NEVER be watched by those poorly educated citizens.
You'll get a slight smirk before getting shrugged off by those corrupt rich officials at best.

Growing up in Malaysia I remember the time when Phillipines was considered more advance than the other South East Asian nation. Now they can only export domestic servants. What a shame. Be strong and get rid of your corrupt officials.

As a foreigner who worked & lived in the Philippines for 6 years I know the corruption in the government at various levels. I remember my driver telling me how much it cost to build a particular road. I asked him why it’s so expensive to build the road. He told me the cost of the road includes bribe money for the mayor, officials & barangay captains. The contractor gets paid, then the contractor gives the bribe money to them government officials.
Filipinos have short memories. They threw out Ferdinand Marcos for corruption & stealing $billions from the government, after the Edsa People Power Revolution. Then now we see Bongbong Marcos is elected president. He is the son of a corrupt dictator. How can Filipinos forget??? It’s sad

I’m Filipino and I’m not even offended by this video. Because every fact mentioned in the video is true. I always wonder why our country remains poor, and it’s because of the word “lack” in general. Lack of IQ, lack of governance, and lacking everything (even if we have enough resources).

The video is not biased. He is just spitting hard truth facts. Wag sana tayo maging makitid ang utak. Yan din ang rason bat hindi umaasenso ang Pinas.

Ang matamaan jan, wag na lang magcomment at mangbash. Tataas altapresyon niyo sige 😆✌️

Sometimes you can't blame the corrupt politicians but the foolish voters who keeps on supporting and voting them.

As a filipino, it's sad to see the great people of my country suffer from the corruption, poor decisions, and disasters, but we are resilient and will still try to pull through like we always have.

I dont get it why it is hard for other people to be humble. Filipinos got too much pride and refuse to look at the truth, and literacy rates are going down in this country by each year. It is hard to love this country but it is the only home i know, the home that i want to love forever until i die.

I left the Philippines in 1990 and migrated on a working visa as a nurse to the USA. I’m fortunate to have left the poverty but I wish I didn’t have to leave. I always tear up whenever I go back to the Philippines and leave again.

❤❤❤ fr Việt Nam to Bro Phlippine!

Most Filipinos would say that it's the government, but IN REALITY, it's also about the culture and mentality. A lot of Filipino families have TOO MANY CHILDREN. Young people don't think about the consequences of their actions. They make love and once the baby or babies arrive, it's only then that they seem to worry about the future. Because of big families also, especially by the poor, some children don't go to school or aren't able to finish their education. They rely on someone to work abroad and provide for the rest of the family without helping themselves on their own. I know it's hard to hear this, but this is my honest observation as a Filipino. Take accountability too as a people, not just blame everything on the government. A lot of Filipinos don't have discipline as well. They can't follow simple rules and would rather do something that's most convenient for them. I know because I'm from the Philippines and have seen this with my own eyes.

As a Filipino professional based in Singapore, I've noticed a significant deficiency in the overall quality of education. This is particularly evident when contrasting the astute and efficient policymaking of Singaporean politicians compare to less effective proceedings of Philippine senate hearings. Singapore's historical practice of sending its brightest students overseas to study and contribute to national development, coupled with their recruitment of top global talents to educate their citizens, underscores their commitment to education excellence. Additionally, Singapore's investment in competitive salaries for their politicians has helped mitigate corruption, ensuring effective governance and accountability.

The observations and points of this video are not incorrect. Thanks a lot for bravely presenting them. Allow me to add, Philippines is a very young country and nation. Perhaps as a nation we are still doing the adolescent steps (Philippines is only 78 years old as an independent sovereign country). But we have the dream, the vision and drive to develop economically, socially and politically. Eventually, we will reach the status of developed economy or wealthy status like Singapore and "First World Countries" (in the long run). We still have to build honest, professional, and excellent institutions, we are on the process, education system and industries included. We are still very young. But despite our poverty and corruption abound, we have the culture of resiliency, work ethic and unique cheerfulness that only Filipinos can do.
