Thanks, I really like your method. I was kind of winging it with my prompts. I felt like every time chatgpt spit something out, I had to go back in and include extra stuff within each paragraph it generated, BUT your method makes it a bit more organized and cleaner. The save the beats, fleshing out, and feeding chapgpt a few lines at a time makes it so much better. Thanks again.

Jason, I’d like you to do another video on just style prompts. Why is each phrase used in some of the typical prompts and where is the best place to use various prompts, especially with ChatGPT. I like more of a deep dive into them instead of a one minute flyby. Thanks for all you do.

Another great video, thank you! You should know you're the major reason I finally decided to take the leap into seriously trying AI writing. So far I've used the paid versions of ChatGPT, Sudowrite, and Claude (I know that Claude is free, but I wanted to donate some funds to their cause) and find that each has its particular strengths. They are great tools to keep a writing project organized and productive, NOT to completely replace my own writing. Writers that eschew AI without trying it really don't understand it's limitations and strengths. I'll gladly listen to someone like you over them :)

I remember writing short stories as a child, I loved them so much that I have kept them all these years. They’re obviously not very good and super messy since I wrote them when I was like 11 or 12 but I still loved the basic concept of the stories and always wished someday I could coherently write on to them and write them better, never did that though. I’m excited to dig them up and try this out.

Thanks a lot, Jason, your videos are very interesting and informative!

I'm trying to follow your approach using your prompts, but one of the issues that I've got is "fractal" duplication of events: the brainstorming, synopsis and outline steps worked quite good for me. But when I try to generate beats for a given chapter, I'm often getting beats that describe some actions from the later chapters (e.g. beats for chapter 2 describe the events which on the "outline" level were expected only in chapter 4). Similar issue is observed when prose is generated based on the beats.

I tried to update the beats-generating prompt by adding the whole outline and telling it explicitly to avoid beats which would describe the events from later chapters, but that doesn't seem to work good enough.

I wonder if this is just my issue or someone else is facing it too? If "yes", were you able to address it somehow?

Jason, where are these prompts available if at all? Are they in your (updated?) free download, or maybe I'm your new AI writing book? I'd like to try them. Thanks for another great video

This is so cool! I come up with ideas pretty easily but writing can be a pain sometimes (most of the time ahahaha) and this speeds up the process so much 😮. Thank you for the video

Hi, Jason! I am a big fan of your fiction writing with ChatGTP videos and advice. I am curious to know if you have any material or advice for using ChatGPT to write Kindle Episodes and Serials? Thanks.

Respectfully,

Bud

TNN, I saw a video of yours where you were using a document to lay out your book structure - characters, prose, and it looked as though you had scrip coding interior, exterior room, etc.

I write short stories and or Novella. How Can I use that same document that you described? how would you suggest on the use of ChatGPT to help me set up my short stories/novella(a)?

I liked, and subscribed

I am trying to go through your videos for your tips and tricks

Do you have some tips and ideas about what to put in the GPT-4 custom instruction section for my crime and mystery genre?

Do you have a list of all your prompts that you are talking about in here? I love this idea. I love your plan of attack. Just awesome

@The Nerdy Novelist: Hi. I want to write a fantasy story, but as a light novel, not a normal novel. I have an idea, characters, the world (needs to be more fleshed out), and more. Can you give me advice?

I just discovered your channel, looking for better ways to create novels. I’m so grateful to have found your channel! Now I can have a source to back to for anything AI story really tasks.

Love these writing videos. Would be great to get a video that only uses the fully free versions of these A.I. programs when payments and word counts are not involved, as many people can't actually afford all these subscriptions.

ive written a horror story once and never got to finish it. then i tried writting an original story, not knowing its a god of war fanfiction with an insert character and stuck with fanfiction for a while until im trying my first fantasy world/story which im asking chat gpt to help me write some ideas as im using some ideas by writing my own fantasy language which i havent tried before and using ai to understand conlang after i had gotten bored from writing consonants and vowels and saying the random thing and writing it down for saving for later. this video might help me understand
