m3 is less expensive, more practical, just as fast, looks 90% as good.. There's also just something about a well balanced fast sedan that speaks to me.

M3 around the Track is indeed Faster, B Pillar makes it the chassis that Much Stiffer, and Honestly since they came out i always Preferred the M3 which can Be arguable The Best Manual Sport Sedan Today, M4 though will never be the Best Sport Coupe, it will always lose to the 911

Seeing them side by side I really prefer the M3. I think its a bit too long to be a coupe...and the rear arches on the M3 are just so nice.

During an interview, a M division engineer mentioned that the M4 coupe body is not as aerodynamically efficient (the fastback like roof line is not optimal) as the sedan counterpart, so they had to design the built in trunk lid spoiler to combat turbulence and aid high speed stability. Chassis rigidity and side impact performance is also compromised due to B pillar location. The m4 is slightly lighter to the m3 sedan because of the carbon trunk lid. So officially the coupe is only for show.

One additional difference between the M3 and M4 is that the M4 has pillarless doors, which I really like.

I’ve always preferred the coupe with previous m3’s, but with the f80 I think the saloon look a lot better.

Love the more aggressive wider look to the rear on the saloon rather then the sleek coupe.

its tough. i like the sleek design of the m4, but the flared arches look really good on the m3

I have an E46 M Coupe and as much as I love the looks of it, I wish it came with 4 doors. The F80 M3 looks better because of its boxy look which makes it look more aggressive than the M4 and let's not forget the jaw dropping bulge on the rear fender of the M3. The M4 is aggressive too, but a little too sleek and not as unique as a 4 door M3.

Red (Sakhir Orange) exterior with Red interior on this M3? It's a rolling bordello! This M3 owner, while looking like a very gentle gentleman, has some wild taste on automobile colors. Kudos for him! :-)

if i would buy any of these i'd take the m3 because of the practicality and in my opinion, it looks slightly better.
