I just raced an F80 M3 this afternoon on a 60 roll in my 2011 FBO 5.0 it pretty much went exactly like this. I had a good start and pulled ahead for a few seconds off the jump, but once the M3s turbos kicked in, he reeled me in! Crazy cars for sure, fun challenge!

If this was DCT and not a bad driver that Mustang would be destroyed easily. M3s are putting down close to 600hp trust me i know theses cars. The M weighs less has more power now pair that with a dual clutch transmission and well you have no chance even with every bolt on known to man with meth or what not.

Why is price always mentioned when the other car is slower and wants to be used in comparison to a faster car. I own an f80 M3 (thumbnail) and get tired of Mustang owners talking trash before they race me without mention of price, but as soon as they lose price becomes the first exscuse. Also my M3 loaded with everything but ceramic brakes was purchased new for 75k not 100k. The M3 in the video is manual and cheaper, I have the quicker Dct version.

Every race I see with an M sport they don’t use the paddles, better shifting and that mustang would have gotten embarrassed with that driver used the paddles

Why is that people bringing up cost when cheaper car losses to more expensive car. These two cars are technically in same class with average cost of M4 now around 75k or less on average A fully equipped s550 Mustang GT around 55k, but hp/tq and weight are very close. One is Luxury sports coupe while the other is sports coupe. Mustang makes more hp but 460hp to 424hp of M4, the M4 is underrated making closer to 500hp if it puts down 421whp. Mustang weigh more about 200lbs. So hp/tq numbers are close but Mustang weight more and has lesshp/tq. Its not cost of car. They both had nearly identical mods and very similar stock hp # except M4 was on e85 another power advantage. They were both modded so price is know longer issue. That Mustang could have 10k in mods. That s550 lost plan and simple not enough power and extra weight those were main factors. It's not like Mustang was racing McLaren 765LT 3000lbs 780whp. I don't have dog in this fight don't own either, I have 2011 FBO RR Racing tune and tuned intake running E30 blend. I appreciate both cars for what they are. ITS JUST same old excuse I see well that car cost X my car cost Y thats why I lost. Its spec that matter of each car along as they nearly identical price dosen't matter. That s550 Mustang wasn't Racing lightweight high hp supercar. I've seen 25yr old K24 swapped engine in gutted converted civic with awd destroy Hellcats and Demons. And you could build that car for third of price of new Hellcat. The s550 FBO 10 speed Mustang which has great trans lost not big deal.
