I decided with an m340i. I drive like an hour everyday to work in LA. Both are amazing cars the 340i needs some handling mods to make it more nimble

Depends, m340 for a daily driver 100% id remove the m badge tho but tuning potential is definitely crazy. 😂 but all in all taking the f80

I drive an f82 m4 as a daily, went driving an m340i stg 1 yesterday. M340i nice smooth engine, good sound and good suspension perfect allround car. BUT: my stg1 M4 totally diffrent animal, exciting and explosive powerband, suspension turned up a notch. Dct vs automatic in the m340i also big diffrence. That’s a question that I really don’t know the answer to. I am in the market to change mine to either f80 M3 or G20 M340i but so confused right now. Would love to get peoples opinion in which one would be better option. This will only be a weekend car and I would like to choose one that will hold more value. Thanks

M3 will always retain good value as it ages whereas the M340 as good as it is, it isn’t a true M car and so it will depreciate. B58 is a good unit though.

I daily drive my G80 M3 Xdrive w Carbon Buckets. That said, I would choose the F80. Once you go M you can’t downgrade. 😌

In all reality. Full potential of f80 will never be used in the streets, specially NYC. I would go m340 best of both worlds comfort with a lil straight line thrust. Either way both cars look great.
