Power Button and Lightning Port ATTEMPTED Fix for iPhone 5!

We go back to my iPhone 5 to see if we can repair and restore the functionality of both the power button and lightning port, as well as give it a tidy!

The can of air, IPA and Microfibre cloths came to a total of around £20.00. Relatively cheap for how much use I'll actually get out of the equiptment. Very keen to get this iPhone back up and running and even though we may have stumbled in this video, it's an amazing project to start out on. hope you enjoyed!

Always use a toothbrush or microfibrer cloth to get rid of the sticky stuff left from the tape it’s much more effective

I just came back to school so sorry I could not watch it when you released, it mid winter break is done sadly but at least it is the weekend for me I went through this whole week of school and took two test of ELA lol. Also the IsoPropyl alcohol is not only used for PC but anything dirty is what I use it to clean. Lastly, your iPhone 5 needs a new charging port as it doesn't look like theirs dust blocking it or u can try to use sim card tool to get out dirt that happened to my iPhone and the button most likely can be fixed by re positioning then if that doesn't work then you need a new power button It might be alot of work for a beginner for you but Its fixable.

I say try swapping the lightning port out. I believe the iPhone 5 can have charge port swapped without soldering. It’s tedious, but it’s very possible.
