I said I used Unpearled Barley, that's a lie, i actually used Pearl Barley. Its the quick-cooking kind.

Thank for this recipe, I was trying to find a meal that is good for my digestion. This was perfect, I added lentals, and substitued with cucumbers, and fresh string beans, fresh parsely and peppers. It was quick and delicous.

I made this and loved it, added a chopped fried egg to it, chopped red peppers and some green onions as I would to my normal fried rice .
I enjoy your videos, a different take on many traditional dishes. The length of of the videos at 15 -20 minutes is perfect. Looking forward to new videos in the future.

Always learn something from this charming man; I had no idea I had to get the starch off the barley. I'd just rinse it once and throw it in the crockpot with some water and it was okay, but I will get that starch off next time and get a fluffier texture to it. Wonderful video.
