This is such exciting news. I cannot wait to see where Disney will go with this.

I hope this means Criterion can give us David Lynch's The Straight Story someday!

I could see Arrow picking up Fight Club

Hopefully Disney will consider licensing out their classic live action features like 20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea and Treasure Island to Criterion for 4K releases.

Wall E is already available in 4K from Disney. I don’t think I would buy it again but this gives hope for future Fox titles.

I actually would like a 4K of Tears of the Sun (director's cut.) The only version of that available is DVD

Wow, hopefully a 4k release of "Songs of the South" in the works.

You knew Wall-E was on 4K already, right? 👀

Please dear lord I hope this helps with the quality issues of the masters. Also maybe this will get us True Lies on 4K.

I’m surprised you haven’t made a video about the Sony Pictures Classics 4K collection yet. Titles like SLC Punk and Run Lola Run are part of a huge box set and no one is really talking about it

Interesting to see where this leads to. It means Disney still sees potential on physical media. I'd really like to have any of the new Star Wars shows on blu-ray...

This truly exciting and will be picking up my copy on the 22 of this month.

The fact that Disney is even doing a Criterion release of one of their animated movies is shocking! Since Disney lately hasn’t been investing in 4K Blu Ray with their movies!

I am personally not really interested in this WAll-E 4K (because I was lucky enough to get a copy of the 4K steelbook which is gorgeous and I love it), but yeah you make a VERY good point that this means that they could potentially license some more of their material out! That is very exciting!

Wowwww!! This is huge! Yes, let other people do the work, and just collect that money, Disney! It's a win/win/win!

I watched the blu-ray of WALL•E the other day and was surprised with how low-res the textures were. I don't remember it looking that bad at the time. Goes to show how much Pixar animated movies have improved over the years.

WALL-E on 4K looks awesome tbf so I'm excited to see Criterion improve on it with a 4K DI and dolby vision.

Oh I really hope they do more. I would love to have all the Disney Christmas movies on 4K Blu Ray. Including Home Alone 2 and the Jim Carey A Christmas carol films. The A Christmas Carol animated film is my favourite.
