Most people that buy it are not looking for an iPad. They pick it up when Amazon has special offers. Without trade-in, That's $149, $229. It's mainly a device for consuming content, and its great for those tied into Amazon's ecosystem. It's a beautiful redesign: sleek, with a better build quality, beautiful screen. Sound is pretty. As for the headphone jack, Amazon, was just following the trend. An adapter is quite affordable. No we shouldn't have to do that. But other technology is is abandoning the head jack in favor of just one USB-C jack. Anyway, most people get a lot of bang for their buck, because Amazon tablets can be used for a very long time.

Paid about 80 dlrs on prime day with the trade in deal of my old 10 inch one. Love the big screen and slim design. Only use it for media consumption when traveling because I don’t like taking my iPad on trips because it was so expensive and don’t wanna risk loosing or damaging it. Adding the Google store is super simple takes less than 15 mins.

I bought me a HD 8 2 years ago, and I still am rocking with it. If I was to follow reviewers about Amazon tablets being under powered I would have missed out on how awesome Amazon experience is. I upgraded to no ads, and side loaded the playstore. It's been stellar from ever since just the same. Camera is crappy, but, add more light, you would be pleasantly surprised. I definitely love the design of the HD 11, and glad it has a more powerful CPU. Waiting for holiday sale or special discounts, cause I would definitely rock the HD 11.

Just got one for my mom on the black friday Amazon sale. My military vet mom is getting that age and i got a wireless home camera security system and she is so excited about having access to a half a dozen cameras and smart bulbs. This gets her back in command of her home.

One huge omission in this review: Amazon will support this tablet for a minimum of 6 years of end to end software/security updates. You won't find this with any other android OEM at this price point.

I have The 2021 Fire HD 10 that I am really happy with. I side loaded Google app and removed the apps and purchased a memory card that made my tablet experience much nicer. I really am thinking about upgrading. I like how ir comes with 128 and that it is made of aluminum. Thank you so much for your video that is very informative😊

I got this for my mom - she just wants to watch show on a tablet and maybe use tiktok - and she LOVES this tablet. I got her the keyboard and the pen that goes with it too and she uses it for recipes and notes as well. the screen looks really great, the tablet is slim, as are the bezels. This is a solid product and it comes at a really great price.

I just bought the 10 (13 gen), and a lot of what you say here holds true for the 10. I say it is basically a Kindle with add-ons. As a Kindle reader it is better than the Paperwhite for less money. It is just the right size for reading. The Amazon App Store offerings suck however. I sideloaded the google play store and loaded apps that I had already paid for from the Play Store that Amazon doesn't have. The main reason I bought a Fire was that it is the only device that Amazon allows to have text-to-speech functionality. With the size of the screen it is great for sharing pictures that I have taken on my S22 Ultra. (screen on the phone is too small, and PC's are too immobile.) Just so long as you accept that these aren't I-pads (or even budget Samsungs) you should be happy. (I got mine for less than $100 which is a great deal)

my current tablet is literally a fire 7, it's very small, very laggy, and has just barely over 5gb of storage in total, with over 2gb of that being system apps???? so looking at this IN COMPARISON, it's an absolute dream and would be incredible. but also I'm definitely getting a mid range samsung tablet when I get around to upgrading 😭😭

How does the display compare to the fire 10 is the display better as I just use for watching movies 🍿 or shows when traveling for work I don’t use it for nothing else just watching movies is it better quality picture

I've been wanting one of the 11's . I have a perfectly good 8 tho . not sure I would like not being able to plug in the ear buds. my blue tooth seems more hassle to me .
