Today I'm going to share with you my favorite tips on creativity and how to properly exercise your mind in order to make it work creatively. All of these tips are just things that I have used in the past and may or may not work for you, but the idea is just to start somewhere. What creative tips do you have?

Hi. Just wanted to clarify something. Lots of people are acting like I'm starting a new channel or I'm done with magic. Neither of which is true. There will still be tutorials on this channel from other creators and I will give my input. In fact nothing has really changed. I uploaded 1 tutorial about every 5-10 videos before and will continue to do so, just going to focus on other creators, cardistry, tips and theory etc.. Anyways, let's not get carried away. I'm here for good. CR

What is something you do to get creative?

That was one of the best videos you have ever uploaded! Creativity is always my problem so you really helped me out! Much better than tutorials! Thank you!!!

Chris Ramsay don’t worry about some backlash from the last video. You always going to find some people who are so bitter with their own life that they try to bring others down with them. Ignore those people and don’t waste your time thinking about them.

We’re here to support and be with you every single day and truly appreciate who you are and what you do in your teaching for your community.

Chris ramsay, without a doubt you are my favorite human being on earth. I wish that one day we can meet and I can shake your big ass hand and say to myself “I met the greatest magician of my time”

I'm a subscriber and probably less interested in performing magic than most of your subscribers but I love the channel. Your tutorials and videos on magic theory really inspire me. I'm an artist that does blacksmithing, woodworking, drawing, and tattooing. I've found your channel to be a huge help when I'm trying to think outside of the box. Sure I could go watch blacksmithing, woodworking, or tattooing channels to get ideas but then my ideas would tend to just mimic the work by those artists. I really enjoyed this video and it gave me a couple new ideas to get creative. Thanks Chris.

I so agree about the "do nothing" part - before you fall asleep, ideas flood.
Really liked the 20 questions too, everything was really interesting and thought-provoking. Thank you for the advice Chris! #ramfam
Continue doing what's comfortable and what you love :)

Your "Using a card to clean your fingernails" idea gave me inspiration, so I want to give someone else inspiration.
Anyone, as an exercise see if you can make this into a real trick:

You finish a card trick and go into a patter about how we magicians have so many different magical items and tricks that it can be hard to keep track of them, you know how like people get dirt under their fingernails and don't remember ever touching dirt. As you do this you take the corner of a card and act as if you're flicking dirt out from beneath your fingernail and produce a coin. It could be palmed and fling out onto the table as if it was stuck under your fingernail. Then you can go into a coin routine.

I love the concept of the video, as it not only refers to magic but to all kinds of situations that need creativity - I myself know the "problem" of non-creative phases from writing.
Some ways that help me to push my creativity:
- change the perspective: whenever I get stuck, I simply grab my laptop and leave the office (out to the woods, into the sun, ...). Helps my brain to change the perspective and direction of thinking
- take a shower: again weird, but refers back to being in bed at night
- procrastinate: put your thoughts/project aside for some days and let it grow in your mind - although you are not actively thinking of it, your brain still keeps processing. Helped me a lot of times to pinpoint the drawbacks of an idea.

Sorry for the long post, just my two cents. #ramfam4life

i like this take on creativity on magic. I think its important to be original and make your own effects or applications for effects, because always using tricks from other people gets boring and beeing creative is something thats important in life not just magic.

This and "Be yourself" go hand in hand when it comes to stuff like magic and youtube. I think they both have there own benefits, but you cannot truly be creative without being yourself and not trying to copy others. At the same time, when you are truly creative, you are being your own individual self.

There is deffinetly more to learning than just being told the answer, I saw you do the card to pocket where it's the entire deck in your pocket except the selected card that is in your other hand a couple times on different videos and watched it back and I think I've got it down proper, either way I use a functioning version of it and it's my go to when anyone says the magic words "show me a magic trick" and everyone I've preformed it for has loved it and id love to know the name of it, any way you'll probly never see this but I am a bit disappointed there's no more tutorials but I respect your hustle and everything you do man you got a good heart keep it up

I use the first trick in writing and drawing and it's very helpful indeed ...
Writing many things about random stuff or the things I want to make my work about make it easy to understand the subject and get very good and unique ideas

Oh man this video was so raw.
Extremely different style, loved the editing, the fresh perspective and ideas.
Not repetitive like alot of other stuff out there.
Super great video, I greatly enjoyed how real and genuine this seemed.
